Age Group and Game Times
At Wests Junior Lions we welcome girls and boys to join teams starting from under 7's through to under 18's. If your you'd like to register to play click on this link to register with Wests Juniors!

GAME DAY & TIMES
Games are generally played on Saturdays with the exception of some finals games and occasionally some gala days or pre-season matches.
Due to the different field configurations at community and school grounds, these times are subject to change. Notification of time changes are the responsibility of the Club and Schools.
In general, kick off times and game duration are as follows:
Kick Off Time
- Under 7 to Under 9 Mixed - 8:45 / 9:30 am
- Under 10 & Under 11 Mixed - 9:30 am
- Under 12 Mixed - 10:30 am
- Under 13 Boys - 10:30 am
- Under 14 Girls - 9.30 am
- Under 14 & Under 15 Boys - 11:30 am
- Under 16 Girls - 10:30 am
- Under 16 Boys - 1:00 pm
- Under 18 3rd XV - 12:30 pm
- Under 18 2nd XV - 1:45 pm
- Under 18 1st XV Girls - 11:30 am
- Under 18 1st XV - 3:00 pm
Durations
- Under 7’s and 8’s - 15 minutes each 5-minute interval
- Under 9’s 10’s and 11’s - 20 minutes each way, 5-minute interval
- Under 12’s, 13’s and 14’s - 25 minutes each way, 5-minute interval
- Under 15’s and 16’s - 30 minutes each way, 5-minute interval
- Under 18’s Division 2 and 3 - 30 minutes each way, 5-minute interval
- Under 18’s Division 1 - 35 minutes each way, 5-minute interval
Additional Information: u7 - u9
Under 7s and 9s play games in the ACT and Queanbeyan area.
Teams may be grouped together to at a venue as so Clubs do not have to open for just 1 game.
For example: Gungahlin may play Vikings at Campese Oval, QBN along with another U7s team.
Additional Information: Under 10's - Under 18's
Games are played across ACT and the wider Southern NSW area.
From Goulburn to Jindabyne, Yass to Broulee, and everywhere in between.
(*Travel requirements vary and are subject to the specific age grade division which won't be know until the season draw is available*).
Training
All teams from U7 to our 1st XV (U18s) train at our home field-Weetangera Playing Fields-as per the below training schedules:
- Under 7s to Under 9s - Thursdays: 5-6pm
- Under 10s to 1stXV - Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5-6pm
In the case of inclement weather, please contact your team manager to check if training is on.
